This Privacy Notice explains how W Rieger ("we", "us"), the operator of PawRoute, handles personal data. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
1. Categories of data we collect
- Account data — your name, email address, and login credentials (or sign-in identity if you use Google sign-in).
- Business data you enter — your clients' names and contact details, pet records, walk schedules, rates, invoices, and walk photos you upload.
- Support messages — correspondence when you contact us.
- Usage and device data — basic telemetry, device identifiers, and IP address collected when you use the Service.
2. Why we use it and our legal basis
- Creating and managing your account and providing the Service — performance of our contract with you.
- Security and fraud prevention — our legitimate interest in keeping the Service safe.
- Product improvement — our legitimate interest in understanding how the Service is used.
- Customer support — performance of our contract and legitimate interests.
- Legal obligations — where the law requires us to keep or disclose records.
3. Who we share data with
- Service providers that host and operate the Service (cloud hosting, database, and file storage providers).
- Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of the subscription, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where needed.
- Authorities where required by law.
4. Retention
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as long afterwards as needed for legal, tax, and accounting purposes. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised. After your subscription ends, you may request an export of your data for 30 days.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the support details on your receipt; we respond within one month.
6. International transfers
Our service providers may process data outside your country, including outside the UK/EEA. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions.
7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit and access controls that limit data to the account that owns it.
8. Cookies
The Service uses essential cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in and make the app work. We do not use marketing cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in.
9. Changes
We may update this notice from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows the current version, and material changes will be flagged in the app.
